where there's loyalty 

there's pain

my back slides down the bathroom tile

none of me remains

where there is undying love 

there is heartache.

i scream, shout and shake

"but no, you weren't just another mistake"

was this just in my head?

my mind swirls with doubt

i cover my arms with what i had bled

the pain within my soul 

you continuously disavowed

where there is shame

there's longing

creating a path that is beyond the name

of who i am and what i bring

where there is loyalty 

there is pain 

 where there is silence,

there is incomprehension beyond what i can explain
